	The Valley of the Tiétar is to the south of the Community of Castilla-León, to the south of the province of Avila and on the south, also, of the Central Mountain chain, in the part corresponding to the sierra of Gredos. This feature of his situation, the southern character, is, together with an altitude it happens slightly high, one of the key notes of the region. These two geographical aspects distinguish him, so much of the rest of the province, since of the Community to which there belongs, since they provide a moderate climate to him, abundance of water currents, leafy vegetation and a varied scale of landscapes that go from the soft wavinesses that raise in the proximities of the river to the sharp crags of the highest tops of the Central system. The limits of the region are, for the north, the crestings of the mentioned mountain chain; for this, it is one of the spurs of the mountain chain the one that serves to delimit the lands of Madrid and Avila; here a Tiétar is born, undecidedly and winding, that will search in soft decrease, which has the whole region, his way towards the Atlantic Ocean; the river uses, for the south, as provincial limit; and, for the west, it is the throat of Alardos chosen to separate the lands of Avila of the Cáceres.
